The 2022 Mid Nebraska Activities Conference Basketball Tournament tipped off Saturday with opening round games in Hyannis. In the girls opening round, Sandhills Valley def. Cody-Kilgore 48-30. The Lady Mavericks advance to play the top seed Anselmo-Merna on Tuesday. Hyannis def. Brady 51-33. Hyannis advances to play South Loup on Tuesday in Arnold. Other 2nd round games will include, Sandhills/Thedford vs Arthur County in Merna and Mullen vs Twin Loup in Arnold. 2nd round games in Merna will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM with a special video stream available through sandhillsexpress.com and 2nd round games in Arnold will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com
In the boys opening round, Brady def. Twin Loup 65-38. Brady advances to play the top seed Hyannis on Monday in Hyannis. Arthur County def. Cody Kilgore 43-41 to advance to the 2nd round where they will play the #2 seed Mullen. Other 2nd round games on Monday include, Sandhills/Thedford vs Sandhills Valley in Hyannis and South Loup vs Anselmo-Merna in Mullen. 2nd round games in Mullen will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM with a live video stream, accompanied by the radio call, available on the KCNI/KBBN You Tube page and the Sandhills Express Facebook page.
