South Loup hosted Arcadia/Loup City for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader Tuesday night in Callaway. The South Loup girls picked up their 8th win of the season with a 40-27 victory. The Lady Bobcats led 17-3 at the end of the first quarter and led by 12 at halftime. South Loup extended the lead to 16 in the second half but ALC kept fighting back and climbed to within 9 but South Loup was able to hold off the Lady Rebels and pick up the win. Taylor Ross had 12 points and Bryn Schwarz added 10 to help lead the Lady Bobcats. Eight players scored for Arcadia/Loup City led by Tatum Kapustka who had a team high five points. The South Loup boys improved to 11-2 on the season with a 58-24 win. It was a big night for South Loup’s Cache Gracey who scored 18 points in the first quarter and finished with a game high 29 points. ALC was led by Conner Slobaszewski and Max Lewandowski who each finished with a team 5 points.
