Broken Bow will travel to Milford today to compete in the C1-8 girls sub-district basketball tournament. Broken Bow is the #3 seed in the tournament and will face #2 seed Central City. Broken Bow is 15-9 this season while Central City enters at 22-2. SEM will host the D2-8 girls sub-district tournament beginning today. SEM is the top seed and will face Twin Loup today at 5:30 followed by the #2 seed Anselmo-Merna vs #3 seed Sandhills/Thedford at 7 p.m. Tonight’s games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM / kbbn.com / Free KBBN Thunderbird App. A live video stream of the games, accompanied by the radio call, will be available through the Sandhills Express Facebook Page and Sandhills Express You Tube Channel. Today’s winners will advance to the sub district final on Thursday.
Ansley/Litchfield and South Loup will begin play today in the D1-10 sub-district tournament at Overton. South Loup will face the top seed Overton at 6 p.m. followed by Ansley/Litchfield vs Brady at 7:30.
Mullen is the top seed and is hosting the D2-12 sub-district tournament. Mullen will face Hyannis who advanced by defeating Cody-Kilgore 50-44 Monday night. On the other side of the bracket, Crawford plays Hay Springs.
Arcadia/Loup City faced Ravenna Monday night in the opening game of the C2-7 sub-district tournament at Hastings. Ravenna advanced with a 26-21 win. Ravenna will face top seed Hastings St. Cecilia. On the other side of the bracket, Ord will play Giltner/Harvard.
Burwell faced Fullerton Monday night in the opening game of the D1-7 sub-district tournament at Greeley. Fullerton advanced with a 33-24 win and will play top seed Central Valley.
Ogallala is the top seed and hosting the C1-10 sub-district tournament. Ogallala will face Chadron who defeated Chase County 50-41 Monday night to advance. On the other side of the bracket, #2 seed Gothenburg will face Bridgeport who defeated Cozad Monday 66-40.
