Anselmo-Merna competed at the Overton volleyball tournament on Saturday. AM fell to North Platte St. Pat’s in the opening round 2-0 (25-12, 25-16). Anselmo-Merna faced Overton in the consolation semifinals with Overton winning in straight sets (25-22, 25-16). AM faced Hitchcock County in the 7th place match winning 2-0 (25-11, 25-13).
Ansley/Litchfield competed at the Axtell tournament on Saturday. The Lady Spartans went 2-1 on the day. Ansley/Litchfield def. Lawrence Nelson 2-0 (25-16, 25-13) and def. Axtell 2-0 (25-17, 25-18). A/L’s loss came to Red Cloud in a three set thriller. Red Cloud won 2-1 (25-22, 24-26, 27-25).
