Anselmo-Merna hosted South Loup and Elm Creek for a volleyball triangular Tuesday night. It was “Dig the Pink” night as fundraisers were held to benefit cancer awareness and research. Anselmo-Merna went 2-0 on the night. AM defeated Elm Creek 2 sets to 1. It was a tight match with the Lady Coyotes winning the opening set 25-22. Elm Creek came back to tie the match winning set 2 25-21. AM would then come back and prevail in the third 25-20. Anselmo-Merna faced South Loup in the final match of the night. AM was a straight set winner by scores of 25-17, 25-19. In the middle match of the triangular, South Loup defeated Elm Creek 2-1 (22-25, 25-16, 25-14). Anselmo-Merna improves to 10-4 on the season. South Loup is now 8-5.
