Fall Sports Preview – Twin Loup Volleyball

Fall Sports Previews continue today with a look at the Twin Loup volleyball team.  After winning just six matches total in 2018, the Twin Loup Lady Wolves rebounded in 2019 to post a mark of 18-14.  Along the way, they finished runner-up in the Mid Nebraska Activities Conference volleyball tournament and played in the D2-4 district final where they fell to Garden County in a five set thriller to finish just shy of qualifying for the state tournament.  While Twin Loup will look to fill some spots from last year’s team, head coach Tami Phillips told KCNI/KBBN sports that the success of last year has created excitement and motivation for this season.

The summer is when much work can be done to prepare for the fall.  The COVID-19 situation created a dynamic that made summer preparation different this year.  Coach Phillips talked about the way she and her team handled the adversity.

Twin Loup will begin their season on Thursday when they host Stuart in Taylor.
