The Broken Bow Spirit 18U girls softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader at Cozad Thursday night. Bow dropped game one 9-5. Cozad used a big 8 run second inning to take control early. Broken Bow fought back with a 5 run fourth inning but Cozad held on for the win. Kate Holcomb was 1 for 2 with one run scored and an RBI.
In game 2, Broken Bow led 2-1 after two innings but Cozad scored 4 in the third and 3 more in the fourth to win 8-2. Avery Campbell was 1 for 1 and drove in Bow’s 2 runs.
