Nebraska State Bank announces Kristy Bartak appointment to NBA Board of Directors

BROKEN BOW, NE – In a recent press release, Nebraska State Bank & Trust Co. (NSB) announced the nomination and appointment of Vice President-Chief Financial and Operating Officer, Kristy Bartak, to the Nebraska Bankers Association (NBA) Board of Directors. Ms. Bartak was nominated by a committee of her banking peers, then officially appointed during the NBA Annual Convention on May 9.

Ms. Bartak began her banking career as an examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in Grand Island. She joined the Nebraska State Bank team in December of 2009 as the Bank’s compliance and security officer. From there, she was promoted to Vice President, Chief Financial and Operating Officer and has also served as IT Director and as member of NSB’s management team, as well as ISP, ALCO, and loan committees. She is a graduate from the Colorado Graduate School of Banking program, was a member of the 2018 NBA Leadership Class, and has served on various committees and boards for the NBA. Besides her vast experience in the financial industry, Ms. Bartak is an active volunteer in many community organizations, including the Anselmo-Merna School Foundation Board.

Ms. Bartak will serve on the NBA Board of Directors which consists of 25 bankers representing each of the five NBA groups. The Board consists of volunteer leaders, chosen from financial institutions, who are members of the Nebraska Bankers Association. The NBA Board of Directors is charged with advocating for issues and concerns facing Nebraska banks, and for creating policy and guiding the NBA and its member-banks through a myriad of political, governmental, and economic issues.
