The Sandhills Task Force is now accepting applications for its 2027 Sandhills Ranch Internship and Apprenticeship programs, offering paid opportunities for individuals interested in gaining hands on experience in ranching, cattle production and land management.
The 2027 season will mark the fifth year of the internship program and the second year of the apprenticeship program. Through partnerships with ranchers across the Nebraska Sandhills, the programs give participants an opportunity to learn directly from experienced ranchers while developing practical skills and building connections within the agriculture industry.
The internship is a paid three month position during the summer, while the apprenticeship is a nine month position running from March through November. Both opportunities include housing, partial board and additional educational opportunities at no cost to participants.
The programs are geared toward individuals with an interest in agriculture and ranching who are eager to learn and gain real world experience.
Applications for the 2027 Sandhills Ranch Internship and Apprenticeship programs are due by January 5, 2027.
