Events planned around area to celebrate Smokey Bear's 80th birthday
Smokey Bear turns 80 years old on August 9. U.S. Forest Service has announced events and a coloring contest across the state including the KCNI/KBBN listening area. A coloring contest has opened to area students, with categories for ages 3-6, 7-11, and 12-15.
