Wenquist Inc. Ribbon Cutting: The Wenquist family (Amy, Ethan, Dan) celebrated remodel on Monday evening

The Wenquist family has been in the business of selling auto parts for the last 92 years. After that many years of experience, it is no wonder the Broken Bow store — NAPA Auto Parts – Wenquist Inc., — was remodeled in just three weeks. Granted, the outer new addition took a little more time to construct, but thanks to local contractors, the bulk of the main area was gutted and transformed in a short period of time.

Dan and Amy Wenquist were honored by the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce on Monday evening with a Grow Award and Ribbon Cutting. The couple thanked local businesses, family members, the staff, and friends who helped make the transition possible.

Larger show room where offices used to be

“We’re just most excited to be finished with this project. It’s been a big, busy summer, a lot of great help, a lot of good times, a lot of work. [We’re] just excited for everything to be finished up and to be able to open this up to our customers and just see how excited they are when they come in. Their congratulations to us is very fun,” Amy said.

The remodeled store consists of a spacious office area and larger show room, after a demolition project that was completed with the help of their son Ethan. The store also received a new paint job along with other upgrades.

“I guess I’m more excited about having room and having good electrical,” Dan said in reference to the store’s new space.

Dan began working with the NAPA business in 1984 and became full time in 1994. He and Amy Wenquist have owned the Broken Bow business since 2007.
