OMAHA/VALLEY -- The National Weather Service office in Omaha/Valley has issued a Winter Weather Advisory  from north of Beatrice to Hartington effective at midnight tonight and expiring at noon on Monday. Freezing rain or drizzle is expected to develop across the area tonight and continue into Monday morning. This could make the Monday morning commute difficult.. Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one half inch and ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch are expected. The ice will result in difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Monday. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times. Additional wintry weather is expected Monday night into Tuesday morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
