Broken Bow Woman Accused Of Theft From Broken Bow Booster Club

BROKEN BOW— According to court records, Connie Ulmer 50 of Broken Bow, has been charged with four counts of alleged theft of over $5,000 (each a class IIA felony). Court documents indicate that Ulmer was the treasurer for the Broken Bow Booster Club of which she is accused of taking $45,494.09 from in 2019 and 2020.

According to the arrest affidavit, Ulmer deposited two checks from the Booster Club account into a Connie Ulmer Accounting account at Nebraska State Bank and also utilized the Booster Club checking account information for two electronic check payments to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

According to a statement from the Nebraska State Patrol, “As of today (February 3), there has not been an arrest in this case. An arrest warrant has been issued, but the suspect remains hospitalized following an unrelated car crash last week. NSP has been in contact with her attorney and the suspect has agreed to turn herself in when she is released from the hospital.”

Ulmer was hospitalized after the car she was driving crashed into a tree on Lillian Road on January 29. 

If convicted of all four charges, Ulmer could face 0-100 years in prison.
