Broken Bow Crazy Days

BROKEN BOW—Crazy Days is getting crazier! On Thursday morning KCNI/KBBN had the honor of visiting with nearly 20 local businesses that are having great deals this weekend. In addition to the Crazy Days sales, the weekend will be packed with all kinds of fun events for the whole family.

Thursday Evening: Third Thursday in the Square featuring Tazy Q from 5 to 7 p.m.
Bruning State Bank Hot Dog Eating Contest at 5:50 p.m.
Lions Club/Grocery Kart Burger Bash fundraiser

At the Custer County Fairgrounds, the DC Lynch Carnival will take place from 6 to 11 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Crazy Days Sales at various local businesses Thursday through Saturday

In collaboration with the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce, the Youth Leadership of Custer County–specifically Broken Bow students of the CAPABLE program—worked to create community-friendly events as part of the weekend celebration. Students like Kate Fox said they wanted to promote community pride and come up with a project.

“We felt like we wanted something that’s special for our town that everyone can be proud of and everyone can come out and have a good time and be friends at,” Kate Fox said.

Friday: Three-on-three basketball tournament at the high school from 1 to 6 p.m. Contact CAPABLE leader Jenny Fox at 870-0685 with any questions.

Friday: Alumni Kick-off Event from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Sandhills Journey Scenic Byway Interpretive Center (The Red Barn) on East Highway 2. All alumni are welcome. Stop by to register and purchase tickets for the Saturday luncheon. Cheese, crackers, snacks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks will be served. 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sixth annual Custer County Tractor Run.
Riding for a Cause!
Proceeds benefit Custer Care Assisted Living, Transportation, Home Care, & Adult Day Services. Bring your antique tractor restored or field ready. Prefer tractors at least 20 years old, to travel approximately 55 miles for a 10 mph ride throughout Northern Custer County

7-8 a.m. Registration & Breakfast @ Plains Equipment, Broken Bow
8 a.m. Tractors Leave
10 a.m. Morning Break
12 Noon Lunch Break
3 p.m. Afternoon Break
4:30 p.m. Arrive back to Broken Bow
