Registration opened recently for the 2026 Nebraska Lineworkers Rodeo, set for July 16-17 at the Custer County Fairgrounds in Broken Bow. Registrations for vendors, judges, and competitors can be found on the event’s website.
An annual event since 2012, the Lineworkers Rodeo is an opportunity for the public to see in person what lineworkers do each day to keep the power flowing.
Two person crews and apprentices are judged during the rodeo on their ability to perform their tasks both safely and quickly. Emergency and rescue situations will also be simulated. Attendees are also encouraged to share their skill and knowledge with each other, and even catch up with those from other groups they may have seen out on a job in the past.
