Storm damage has displaced 387 inmates inside two housing units at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP) according to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.
No injuries have been reported and all staff and inmates are safe and accounted for, according to a release.
As of mid-morning Saturday, relocation plans for those impacted were being arranged. Visits at the penitentiary were cancelled for Saturday and Sunday.
