Broken Bow City Council to consider handicap spaces, new EMS rates Tuesday night

The Broken Bow City Council will meet for a regular meeting Tuesday night (April 9) at the Municipal Building on South 10th avenue.

The consent agenda holds not only approval of minutes from the March 26 meeting and approval of bills as posted, but also approval of the Broken Bow Volunteer Fire Department official roster.

In new business, Council will have consideration of approving the re-appointment of Jeff Oeltjen to the Broken Bow Park Board for a term ending in February 2027. They will also have consideration of approving the re-appointment of Betsy Smith to the Broken Bow Library Board for a term ending February 2028.

Ordinance 1279 is next on the agenda, the consideration of placing two designated handicap parking stalls on the east side of the northbound lane of South 11th Avenue. One space would be located on each side of the Custer County Courthouse west parking lot.

Resolution 2024-02 is also found in new business for the Council, who will have the consideration of approving the sale of real property, lots five and six, block twelve, J.P. Gandy’s addition to Broken Bow. Value is over $5,000. If approved, Council would receive sealed bids by May 10, to be opened at the May 14 meeting.

Ordinance 1280, regarding ambulance service fees is next on the agenda. Approval would set new EMS rates and standby rates.
