The Broken Bow Lions Club is inviting the public to help a fundraising effort they are putting on this Sunday (October 25) at the Broken Bow Municipal Building.
“It’s for Chris Moninger and his wife Debby. Chris has to have another corneal transplant and this is just to raise money to help with their funds because he hasn’t been able to work for a while,” said Julie Toline with the Broken Bow Lions Club.
Sunday’s plans include a free will donation featuring pulled pork with sides and a dessert meal. Those attending are welcome to bring a dessert to share with them that can be put out on the table.
A silent auction is also part of the plans for Sunday. Those that wish to donate to it are encouraged to call Julie Toline at 402-677-9323 or Dell Moninger 308-870-4150.
Those that can’t attend the fundraiser on Sunday can still support Chris and Debby by contributing to a benefit account at Nebraska State Bank named ‘Chris Moninger Benefit Account’.
