“That is our annual fundraiser for the AM Foundation. So the AM Foundation provides grants. Actually, we provide them to all graduating seniors who basically submit an application. So $600, no matter what you’re doing after school, it can go towards college, it can go towards, honestly, just you if you’re going into the work industry. So anything really, as long as you’re completing the application. So that’s one of the big things that we do. The other thing is we provide teachers, students, and then the school in general grants throughout the year. We do them two times a year. They submit applications.”
The Firemen’s Watermelon Feed takes place that evening at 8 PM, with a fireworks show following at the Ball Field.
Finishing off the Heritage Days on Sunday is the Amazing Race Road Rally. For $20 a car, you can participate at 1:00 PM with cash prizes included. For more information, contact LeAnn Winchester at 308-643-7205.
