Broken Bow Spirit Collects Sweep of Lexington

The Broken Bow Spirit 18U team hosted Lexington 18U in a doubleheader at Tyke Arnold Field on Thursday.

In game one, Broken Bow scored six runs in the first inning adding two more in the second and one more in the third as they held on for a 9-6 win. Paislee Oeltjen went 2 for 2 at the plate with a run scored. Matti Mattox was 1 for 1 with an RBI and Payton Raker was 1 for 1 with two runs scored to help lead the Sprit offense.

In game two, Broken Bow led 4-3 after two innings but then erupted for nine runs in the third inning to pull away for a 13-5 win. Paislee Oeltjen had another big game at the plate finishing 3 for 3 with two runs scored and two RBI. Carli Griffiths and Addison Schweitzer also had a multi-hit game. Griffiths was 2 for 2 with two runs scored and Schweitzer finished 2 for 3 with a run scored.

With the wins, the Spirit improve to 11-10 on the season.
