Bow Seniors Pick Up Comeback Win Against Holdrege

Broken Bow hosted Holdrege for a Legion juniors and seniors doubleheader Wednesday night.

The Bow seniors collected their fifth win of the season with a comeback win over Holdrege.  Broken Bow trailed 2-1 after the first inning and trailed 3-2 going into the fifth.  In the fifth inning, Broken Bow sent seven to the plate and scored two runs to take their first lead of the game at 4-3.  In the sixth, Broken Bow’s Carter Hall came up with one of the biggest defensive plays of the game throwing out what would have been the tying run at the plate to keep the score 4-3.  The Bow seniors would add three big insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth and Dominic Nowak, who came on in relief, pitched a scoreless seventh inning to secure a 7-3 win.  Xach Lowry had a big night at the plate for Broken Bow finishing 2 for 3 with one run scored and one run batted in.  Jackson Hall was 1 for 2 with an RBI and three runs scored as Broken Bow improves their overall record to 5-5.

The Bow juniors fell to Holdrege on Wednesday 18-2.
