NSAA Boys Golf Championships Begin Today

The NSAA boys state golf championships begin today for all classes.  The Class D state tournament takes place at Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus.  Mullen qualified two golfers for the Class D state tournament.  Ben Werner and Jacob Walker placed 4th and 5th respectively at the D-5 district tournament to qualify for state as individuals.  Werner and Walker will each begin their round today on hole #1.  Walker is scheduled to tee off at 10:40 today followed by Werner who will be in the group to tee off at 10:50 today.

SEM’s Bode Martin is in the Class D state tournament field today.  Martin qualified for state by placing in the top ten of the D-4 district meet.  Martin will be among the first to tee off today as he will be in the second group to tee off hole #1 today at 9:10.

Burwell’s Kason Larson is also among those competing today at the Class D state meet.  Larson was a top ten finisher out of the D-3 district.  Larson will begin his round today on hole #1 and is scheduled to tee off at 10 a.m. this morning.

The NSAA boys state golf tournament is a 36 hole event with round one today and round two scheduled for tomorrow.

The Class A state championship is taking place and Meadowlark Hills Golf Course in Kearney, the Class B state championship will be played at Scotts Bluff Country Club in Scottsbluff and the Class C tournament is at Indianhead Golf Course in Grand Island.
