Arcadia/Loup City Athletes Qualify for State Track

Arcadia/Loup City was among the teams that competed at the C-6 district track and field championships in Albion on Thursday.  The top two in each individual event and the winning team in each relay event automatically qualified for state.  The next six best performances across all Class C districts in each individual running event as well as the long jump, triple jump, shot put, and discus qualified for state as well as those who met the automatic qualifying height in the pole vault and high jump.

ALC’s Wyatt Stieb qualified for state as an additional qualifier in the boys shot put with an effort of 50′ 9″ and was also an additional state qualifier in the discus with an effort of 146′ 5″. Dutch Miller qualified for state as an additional qualifier in the boys 3200 meters with a time of 10:21.45. Rylee Kursave of Arcadia/Loup City qualified for state as an additional qualifier in the girls discus with an effort of 115′ 4″.

Kolton Friesen – 5th in boys shot put
Tenley Panowicz – 3rd in girls 1600
Charlize Meyer – 3rd in girls 800, 5th in girls 400
Morgan Rademacher – 6th in girls shot put
