Twin Loup and Mullen Play in Boys District Finals – Coverage on Central Nebraska’s Sports Source

Twin Loup will attempt to qualify for the NSAA boys state basketball championship tournament tonight when they face McCool Junction on the road for the D1-6 district title.  Twin Loup qualified for the district final by claiming the D1-10 sub-district tournament championship with wins over Burwell and South Loup.  McCool Junction advanced to the district final by claiming the D1-7 sub-district championship with wins over Palmer and Ravenna.  Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.  A live video stream of the game, accompanied by the radio call, will be available through the Sandhills Express Facebook Page and Sandhills Express You Tube Channel.  Tip off for the game is scheduled for 6:30.

 

 

Mullen will attempt to qualify for the state tournament tonight when they travel to Humphrey to face Archangels Catholic for the D2-2 district championship.  Mullen qualified for the district final by claiming the D2-12 sub-district championship with wins over Crawford and Cody-Kilgore.  Archangels advanced as a wildcard after falling to Guardian Angels Central Catholic in the D2-3 sub-district tournament title game.  Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM / kcni1280.com / Free KCNI Pure Country App.  Tip off is scheduled for 5 p.m. central time.

The winners of tonight’s games will advance to the boys state basketball tournament which runs March 11-14 in Lincoln.
