The SEM Mustangs traveled to Deshler on Saturday for the D2-5 district championship and the opportunity to advance to the NSAA boys state basketball tournament. The game was close throughout but, in the end, it would be Deshler winning the district title and advancing to the state tournament with a 47-38 win. SEM ends the season with an overall record of 15-9.

Gothenburg advanced to state winning the C1-8 district title on Saturday. After falling to Doniphan-Trumbull earlier in the week in the C1-8 sub district championship game, the two met again for a district championship. This time it was Gothenburg coming out on top 52-48 to advance to state.
