The Nebraska Schools Activities Association has released the high school football schedules for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Broken Bow will compete in the C1-5 district for the next two seasons with Adams Central, Holdrege, Kearney Catholic, and Minden. Broken Bow’s non-district games will include Sidney, Ogallala, Chadron and O’Neill. Broken Bow will host Sidney and Chadron in 2026 while traveling to Ogallala and O’Neill. In 2027, Broken Bow will travel to Sidney and Chadron while hosting Ogallala and O’Neill.
Arcadia/Loup City will compete in the D1-6 district the next two seasons with Centura, Hastings St. Cecilia, Ravenna, and Sandy Creek. ALC’s non-district games in 2026 and 2027 will include matchups against Alma, West Holt, Amherst, Elm Creek, and Gibbon.
South Loup will compete in the D2-5 district with Arapahoe, Bertrand, Franklin, Loomis, and Wilcox Hildreth. South Loup’s non-district games in 2026 and 2027 will include matchups with North Platte St. Pat’s, Sandhills Valley, Hi-Line, and Hemingford.
Burwell and Twin Loup will be among the teams competing in the D3-4 district with Central Valley, CWC, Elgin Public-Pope John, and Palmer. Burwell’s non-district games will include Anselmo-Merna, St. Mary’s, Sandhills/Thedford, and Hyannis. Twin Loup’s non-district games the next two seasons will include North Central, Overton, Anselmo-Merna, and Mullen.
Anselmo-Merna, Mullen, and Sandhills/Thedford will all compete in the D3-6 district with Brady, Maxwell, and Sandhills Valley. AM’s non-district games the next two seasons will include Burwell, Hyannis, Twin Loup, and Overton. Mullen’s non-district games will include Hyannis, Bayard, Sutherland, and Twin Loup. S/T’s non-district games will consist of Hyannis, Ainsworth, Burwell, and Chambers/Wheeler Central. Sandhills Valley will play non-district games against Bayard, Wauneta-Palisade, South Loup and Pleasanton.
In six man football, Ansley/Litchfield will compete in the D6-4 district with Elba, Riverside, Santee, and Stuart and SEM will compete in the D6-5 district with Arthur County, Medicine Valley, Paxton, Southwest, and Wallace. A/L will face SEM in a non-district game in 2026 and 2027. Other non district games for A/L will include Medicine Valley, Silver Lake, and Giltner. Other non-district games for SEM will include Stuart and Elba.
