Twin Loup will host Anselmo-Merna for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader this evening in Sargent. The games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM/kbbn.com/Free KBBN Thunderbird App. A live video stream of the games accompanied by the radio call will also be available through the Sandhills Express Facebook Page and Sandhills Express You Tube Channel. The girls varsity game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. with the boys game to follow.
The Fort Kearny conference basketball tournament continues today. The girls semifinals will take place today at Kearney Catholic High School. The first semifinal will feature top seed Overton against #4 seed SEM followed by Elm Creek vs Amherst. The FKC boys semifinals will take place Friday at Kearney Catholic. Top seed Elm Creek will face Amherst in the first boys semifinal followed by #2 seed SEM vs Overton. The championship and 3rd place consolation games will be played on Saturday at the UNK Health and Sports Center in Kearney. Ansley/Litchfield will play in the FKC boys consolation round on Friday against Axtell in Pleasanton.
