The Broken Bow boys basketball team fell just short in claiming their seventh win of the season as they were edged by Minden Thursday night 52-49 in the 5th place consolation game of the Southwest Conference basketball tournament. The game was tied 49-49 when Minden’s Traelin Christensen scored off a baseline in bounds pass with 2.2 seconds left to give Minden the lead. The Whippets then added a free throw with less than a second left to win by three. Minden led throughout but Broken Bow had multiple possessions with an opportunity to take the lead but just couldn’t get over the hump. The Indians were led in scoring by Kyan Tobey who finished with a team high 13 points. Zach Jackson also finished in double figures for Broken Bow with 10 points. Broken Bow will next play at home on February 3rd when they host Lexington.
