Broken Bow hosted McCook for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader Tuesday night at the Indian gym. The Broken Bow girls collected their sixth win in the last seven games. Broken Bow jumped out to a 10-1 lead to start the game and led 47-18 at the half on their way to an impressive 72-42 win. Broken Bow had three players finish in double figures led by Charlee Myers and Halle Quinn who each finished with a team high 17 points and Jayden Gaffney had 10 as the Lady Indians improved to 7-4 overall. In the boys game, Broken Bow erased an eight point halftime deficit in the third quarter to briefly take the lead but McCook answered back to lead by five going into the fourth quarter and would go on to win 70-57. Broken Bow had three players finish in double figures led by Zach Jackson who finished with 16 points. Drew Ellis finished with 15 points and Kyan Tobey had 10 points for the Indians who fall to 4-6 overall. Broken Bow will host Valentine for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader on Friday. The Broken Bow girls will then face Fort Calhoun on Saturday at the Nebraska Girls Basketball Showcase in Kearney.
