Boys Wrestling Area Recap 12/5 Ravenna Invite and Hi-Line Invite

Ravenna hosted its boys wrestling invite on Friday.  Amherst was the team champion with 191 points followed by Burwell in second with 189.5 points and Twin Loup was third with 109 points.  Among the individual highlights, Cazen Smith of Twin Loup was champion at 157 lbs. and Wyatt Stieb of Arcadia/Loup City was champion at 285 lbs.  Burwell had four wrestlers claim individual titles.  They included Michael Hunter at 106, Brody Jensen at 126, Drew Dawe at 138, and Trentin Brown at 165.  Brown defeated Oran Grint of Twin Loup by fall in the first place match.

SEM, Sandhills Valley, and South Loup were among the teams that competed at the Hi-Line Invite on Friday.  Arapahoe was the team champion with 138.5 points.  The top area team finisher with SEM who finished 6th in the 14 team field.  Among the area highlights, Choncey Freeman of SEM was runner up at 113 lbs., Josiah Coleman of South Loup was runner up at 120 lbs., Tucker Myers of Sandhills Valley was runner up at 150, and Heath Henson of SEM was runner up at 175.
