Girls State Golf Recap

The 2025 NSAA girls state golf championships came to their conclusion on Tuesday.  Minden claimed the Class C girls team championship.  The Lady Whippets followed up an opening day 328 with a 321 team score in the final round for a two day total of 649.  Columbus Scotus was a distant second with a 712 two day team score.  Minden was led by KayLynn Jorgensen who won the individual gold medal.  Jorgensen shot a 3 under par 69 on Tuesday to finish 1 under for the tournament.  Macy Jorgensen of Minden was the runner up.  Gothenburg qualified for state as a team and bettered their opening day team score by 27 shots to finish with a two day total of 879.  The Lady Swedes were led by Kaylee Olsen who finished with a two day total of 190 to finish in a tie for 33rd.  Austin Deibler of Mullen qualified for state as an individual bettering her first day score by 12 strokes on day two to finish with a two day total of 226.

The Class A team championship went to Omaha Marian with a two day team score of 636.  Molly Goc of Columbus was the individual champion finishing at five over par for the tournament which was one shot better than Naryn Kim of Lincoln Southwest who was the runner up.

The Class B team championship was decided by one stroke.  Omaha Duchesne won the team title with a two day team score of 694 and Elkhorn North was second with a 695.  Julia Messere of Aurora was the individual champion with a two day total of 162.
