Broken Bow collected its second win of the season as they defeated Holdrege 47-3 on homecoming night Friday at Mark Russell Field. Quarterback Zach Jackson accounted for four touchdowns. Jackson had touchdown runs of 20, 11, and 29 yards and hooked up with Cobe Wells on a 12 yard touchdown pass. Aidan Markham broke loose for a 58 yard touchdown run with 2:03 to go in the first quarter which put Broken Bow up 12-0 at the time. Drew Ellis blocked a Holdrege punt which went through the end zone for a safety and returned a fumble for a touchdown. The Indians also produced a safety on defense. With the win, Broken Bow improves to 2-4 and will travel to Minden next week. Minden is also 2-4 after falling Milford Friday night 35-12.
Ansley/Litchfield picked up its first win of the season 59-0 over Santee. Ansley/Litchfield scored points in all phases of the game, offense, defense, and special teams. Owen Brott had 3 rushing touchdowns, Owen Cunnigham had two rushing touchdowns, and Aaron Reitz had a touchdown run for the Spartans.
