Central Valley hosted Ansley/Litchfield and Arcadia/Loup City for a volleyball triangular on Tuesday. The opening match featured a top ten showdown in Class D1 between Central Valley and Ansley/Litchfield. Central Valley held off Ansley/Litchfield in straight sets 25-21, 25-20. In the middle match, Ansley/Litchfield came back from a set down to edge Arcadia/Loup City 2-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-11). In the final match of the evening, Central Valley took the opening set against Arcadia/Loup City 25-14 and then edged the Lady Revels 25-23 in the second set to win the match.
Broken Bow went 1-1 at the Wood River triangular on Tuesday. The Lady Indians swept Wood River 25-18, 25-9. Olivia Neely led the team in kills with 11. Broken Bow fell to GICC 2-1. After GICC won the opening set 25-21 Broken Bow came back to tie the match winning 25-16. In the third set, GICC edged Broken Bow 25-22. Olivia Neely had 12 kills and Izabelle Tibbs finished with 10 kills. McKenna Jacobsen finished with 26 assists. Broken Bow is now 5-5 on the season and will play their first home match of the season Thursday when they host Lexington in the newly remodeled Indian gym. The game will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com. The varsity match is scheduled for 7 p.m.
