Broken Bow Juniors and Seniors Pick Up Wins Against Minden

The Broken Bow American Legion juniors and seniors baseball teams each collected wins Wednesday night against Minden.

The Bow seniors collected their 10th win of the season winning 9-1 in five innings.  Max Denson picked up the win on the mound.  Denson was untouchable in the first three innings striking out eight of the first nine batters he faced.  Minden was able to collect two hits and score a run in the fourth inning but Denson came back with a three up three down inning in the fifth including two strikeouts which gave him ten for the game.  Broken Bow led 2-1 after 3 1/2 innings but sent eight men to the plate in the bottom of the fourth and scored five runs to take control of the game.  Dominic Nowak was 2 for 2 with 4 RBI and  Max Denson also had a multi-hit game finishing 2 for 2 with 1 RBI.  The Bow seniors are now 10-3 on the season.

The Bow juniors improved to 8-5 on the season with a 15-7 win over Minden Wednesday night.  The Bow juniors scored five runs in the third inning, four runs in the fourth, and four runs in the fifth to secure the win.  Drew Ellis was a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate with 3 runs scored.  Carter Hall was 3 for 5 with one run scored and 3 RBI.  Caenyn Priest, Aiden Page, and Breken Rynearson also had multi-hit games for the Bow juniors who pounded out 16 hits in the game.

The Bow juniors and seniors are scheduled to play at Holdrege Thursday night.
