Broken Bow traveled to Gothenburg Tuesday night for American Legion Juniors baseball. Gothenburg held off Broken Bow late to claim a 10-7 win. Gothenburg jumped out to a 7-1 lead after four innings, but the Bow juniors scored two runs in the top of the fifth and three in the top of the sixth to pull to within a run, but Gothenburg stretched their lead back to four with three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Broken Bow tried to come back in the seventh where they scored a run but left the bases loaded as Gothenburg held on for the win. Each team finished with nine hits. Gothenburg committed one error, and Broken Bow was charged with two errors. Drew Ellis was 3 for 4 at the plate with a run scored and 3 RBI. Queston Young was 2 for 3 with a run scored and Carter Hall also had a multi-hit game finishing 2 for 5 with two runs scored and 2 RBI. The Bow juniors are now 7-5 on the season.
Broken Bow will host Minden Wednesday night for a juniors and seniors doubleheader at Paul Brown Field. The juniors game is scheduled for 5:30 with the seniors game scheduled for 8. The seniors game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com
