Area Golfers Compete Today in Boys Golf Districts

Several golfers and boys golf teams from across the KCNI/KBBN coverage area will compete today in district competition as they attempt to qualify for the boys state golf championship tournaments next week.

Broken Bow will be among the teams competing at the C-5 district meet at Crandall Creek Golf Course at Ogallala.  Joining Broken Bow in the district will be Alma, Amherst, Bridgeport, Chadron, Chase County, Gordon-Rushville, Gothenburg, Hemingford, Hershey, Kimball, Mitchell, Morrill, Ogallala, Perkins County, and Valentine.

Anselmo-Merna, Burwell, Sandhills Valley, Sandhills/Thedford, and South Loup will be among the teams competing at the D-3 district meet taking place at the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course.  Joining them in the district will be Ainsworth, Boyd County, CWC, Central Valley, Elgin Public/Pope John, Neligh-Oakdale, Niobrara/Verdigre, North Central, Riverside, and Stuart.  Mullen will compete at the D-5 district meet hosted by North Platte St. Pat’s at the Lake Maloney Golf Course.

The top three teams and top ten individuals in each district will qualify for the NSAA state championships scheduled for May 28th and 29th.
