Broken Bow, Anselmo-Merna, and Mullen Qualify for Girls Basketball District Finals

The Broken Bow girls basketball team has qualified for the district finals.  Bow was runner up to Milford at the C1-8 sub district tournament but received one of the six available wild card  spots with an 18-6 overall record.  The Lady Indians are the #11 seed in the district final round and will face #6 Scotus Central Catholic of Columbus in the C1-6 district final.  Scotus is 20-4 and qualified for districts as the C1-4 sub district champion.  The game will tip off at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM / 1280 AM / kcni1280.com.  A live video stream of the game, accompanied by the radio call, will also be available through sandhillsexpress.com on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and Sandhills Express You Tube Channel.

Anselmo-Merna and Mullen have both qualified for the Class D2 district finals.  Mullen is the #5 seed in the district tournament.  Mullen is 19-2 and qualified for the district finals by winning the D2-10 sub district tournament.  The Lady Broncos will face Wilcox Hildreth in the D2-5 district final. Wilcox Hildreth is 17-8 and qualified as a wildcard for the district finals.  The D2-5 final will be played Friday at Maxwell High School tipping of 6 p.m. central time. Anselmo-Merna is the #9 seed in the district tournament.  The Lady Coyotes are 19-5 and qualified as the D2-7 sub district champion. AM will face 21-2 Leyton in the D2-8 district final.  Leyton qualified for districts as the D2-11 sub district champion. The D2-8 district final will take place at North Platte St. Pat’s tipping off at 6 p.m.  The game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.
