The bracket and pairings for the Southwest Conference girls and boys basketball tournaments next week have been released. Opening round games will take place on Tuesday (1/28)
Broken Bow is the #3 seed in the girls tournament and will host #6 McCook on Tuesday at the Indian gym with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com. Other opening round girls games include Gothenburg, the #2 seed, hosting Valentine. The top seed is Minden. The Lady Whippets will host Cozad in the first round. Ogallala is the #4 seed and will host Holdrege in the opening round.
Ogallala is the top seed in the boys tournament and will host Broken Bow in the first round. Other opening round boys games will include #2 seed Holdrege against Minden, #3 seed Cozad against Valentine, and #4 seed McCook against Gothenburg.
The tournament semifinals will take place Friday (1/31) with the 3rd place consolation and championship games scheduled for Saturday (2/1) all at Kearney High School. First round consolation games will take place Thursday (1/30).
Radio coverage of all Broken Bow games from the consolation round on will be broadcast on Central Nebraska’s Sports Source.
