Area Teams Compete at Amherst Wrestling Invite

Plainview claimed the team title at the Amherst Wrestling Invitational on Saturday with 171.5 points.  SEM finished 8th in the team standings and Arcadia/Loup City was 10th.  Among the area highlights, SEM had two individual champions as Clayton Scoville placed first at 120 lbs. and Maddox Jones was champion at 175.  Isaac O’Brien of Ansley/Litchfield was runner up at 175.  At 157 lbs., Joseph Ducker of Arcadia/Loup City was champion and Jackson Christen of Anselmo-Merna was runner  up.  Wyatt Stieb of Arcadia/Loup City was champion at 190 lbs.  Other area medalists in the top four included Owen Brott of Ansley/Litchfield 4th at 138 lbs.  Jarrett Wells of Anselmo-Merna was third at 150 and Andy Cash of Ansley/Litchfield was third at 285 lbs.
