Ansley/Litchfield hosted Sandhills/Thedford for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader to wrap up the year on Tuesday in Ansley. The Sandhills/Thedford girls improved to 6-2 on the season with a 31-15 win. The Lady Knights led from start to finish holding the Lady Spartans to just three points through the first three quarters. A/L tried to fight back scoring 12 points in the final quarter but S/T held on for the win. Karley Haake led the way for Sandhills/Thedford with a game high 14 points and Laney Dahlberg also finished in double figures for the Knights with 10 points. A/L was led by Caydence Feldman who finished with a team high seven points. The boys game went down to the wire with Ansley/Litchfield coming back from an early deficit to claim a 49-46 win. Luke Bailey of Ansley/Litchfield led all scorers with a game high 22 points. Sandhills/Thedford had three players finish in double figures led by Brady Haake who had a team high 14 points.
