The area’s community choir, assembled again for the Christmas season, will be performing at the Broken Bow United Methodist Church and the First Presbyterian Church this weekend.
Saturday’s performance at the United Methodist Church will begin at 7 PM with a cookie reception to follow. On Sunday, the First Presbyterian performance will take place at 3 PM, also with a cookie reception following.
Choir Manager Lance Bristol told KCNI/KBBN that the choir has been working hard to put on special performances for attendees.
“So we’ve been rehearsing since the latter part of September every Wednesday night. Thanks to the good people at the United Methodist Church, they provide us with a practice area,” said Bristol.
This year’s choir has 46 members, Bristol said. He added he would “love to see 146”, but that the choir does have a great range of voices.
“All of you singers that are out there that weren’t singing with us, I hope you all feel guilty and that next year when I announce that we’re going to start practice you’ll say ‘Oh, I’ll come and give this a try’,” joked Bristol.
