Ansley/Litchfield advanced to the finals of the Fort Kearny Conference volleyball tournament with a thrilling five set win over #2 seed Amherst Tuesday evening at Kearney Catholic high school. The Lady Spartans went up two sets to none winning set one 25-22 and claiming set #2 25-20. Amherst would fight back taking set three 25-23 and winning set #4 25-22. Ansley/Litchfield went up 14-10 in the fifth and on match point #4 was able to close it out 15-13 to advance to the conference tournament championship match which will take place Thursday at Kearney High School. Ansley/Litchfield’s opponent will be Overton. Overton def. Pleasanton in the other semifinal 25-20, 26-24, 25-20 (3-0).
