Broken Bow was among the teams that competed at the C-4 district girls golf championships played at Cross Creek Golf Course in Cambridge Monday. The top three teams and top ten individuals automatically qualified for the state tournament next week. Broken Bow placed 4th in the team standings seven shots outside the top three. Minden was the district team champion with a score of 349. Holdrege was second with a 373 followed by Grand Island Central Catholic in third with a 387 and Broken Bow was fourth with a 394. Molly and Brynn Custer of Broken Bow each qualified for girls state golf as individuals finishing in the top ten of the district. Molly was third overall with a round of 83 and Brynn finished 8th with a round of 89. The individual champion was KayLynn Jorgensen of Minden with a low round of 78.
The Class C girls state golf championships will take place October 14th and 15th at Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte.
