The Bow Elevator men’s slow pitch softball team claimed the state championship winning the Class C/D Men’s Slow Pitch Softball State Tournament held in Hastings Nebraska on August 3rd & 4th. The team played 10 games in two days to win the title.
Bow Elevator went up against the Misfits from Lincoln/Omaha in the championship game. It was a high scoring and dramatic finish to the tournament as Ben Kruger of Hastings hit a walk off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Bow Elevator to a 20-19 win.
Members of the state championship Bow Elevator team included: Derek Gaston, Austin Meyer, Micheal Gruber, Corey Morris, Tanner Meyer, Jake Long, Brandon Landanger, Ben Kruger, Matt Sich, Brady Morse, Kirby Pomplin, Steven Felty, and Josh Arnold.
