The annual Custer County Bull Riding Classic entertained fans Monday night during the Custer County Fair. Wacey Schalla of Arapaho, OK took home the top prize. Schalla put together two qualified rides scoring an 83 on his first ride and then followed that up with a score of 86 in the short go. Schalla’s 86 was the top score of the night.
Local competitor Jason Kursave of Arcadia was runner up in the average. Kursave and Schalla were the only participants to post two qualified rides on the night. Kursave scored an 84 in the short go for a total of 154 on two rides.
Rounding out the top four in the average, Reid Helgoth of Burwell was third with a score of 83 on his first ride and Quincy McDonnell of Baggs, OK was fourth with a score of 82.5 on his first attempt.
