South Loup will host Plainview tonight in Callaway for the D1-8 boys district basketball championship. South Loup is 16-5 on the season and qualified for the district final round as a wildcard. Plainview is 16-7 and qualified for the district finals as the D1-6 sub district champion with wins over Winside and Wausa. Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. A live video stream of the game, accompanied by the radio call, will also be available through sandhillsexpress.com on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and Sandhills Express You Tube channel. Tip off is scheduled for 6 p.m. The winner advances to the Class D1 boys state tournament which begins March 7th in Lincoln.
Anselmo-Merna will face Shelton tonight for the D2-1 district championship. AM advanced to the district final by winning the D2-9 sub district championship with wins over Mullen and Sandhills/Thedford. Shelton is 22-1 and is the top seed in the district final round. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. in Shelton. The game will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com. The winner advances to the Class D2 boys state tournament which begins March 6th in Lincoln.
