Area Wrestlers Compete at Central Valley Invitational

Several area wrestlers competed at the Central Valley Invite on Friday.  The team champion was St. Paul with 170 points and Aquinas Cathoic of David City was team runner up.  Anselmo-Merna placed 5th in the team standings.  Anselmo-Merna was led by Tyce Porter who was champion at 165 lbs.  The Coyotes had two other top four finishes.  Jarrett Wells was third at 138 lbs.  and Tayte Thornton was runner up at 215.  Other area highlights included Josiah Coleman of South Loup placing 4th at 106 lbs. and Dawson Mason placed 3rd at 132 for South Loup.  SEM had three top four finishes.  Clayton Scoville was 4th at 113.  Treu Atkins was runner up at 120 and Maddox Jones was runner up at 175.  James Kessler of Mullen placed 4th at 165 lbs.
