The brackets and pairings for the Mid Nebraska Activities Conference basketball tournament have been released. South Loup is the top seed in the boys tournament and Sandhills/Thedford claimed the top seed for the girls tournament.
The MNAC boys tournament quarterfinals will take place on Monday (1/22) in Callaway and Thedford. Games in Callaway will include #4 seed Mullen vs #5 Sandhills Valley at 5:30 (CST) followed by top seed South Loup facing #8 Brady. Games in Thedford will begin with #3 seed Twin Loup vs #6 Anselmo-Merna at 5:30 (CST) followed by the #2 seed Sandhills/Thedford taking on Arthur County.
The MNAC girls tournament quarterfinals will take place on Tuesday (1/23) in Dunning and Brady. Games in Dunning at Sandhills High School will begin with #4 seed Twin Loup vs #5 Anselmo-Merna followed by the top seed Sandhills/Thedford going up against #8 Sandhills Valley. Games in Brady will begin with #3 seed Arthur County vs #6 Mullen followed by #2 seed Brady against #7 South Loup.
Boys and girls semifinals will take place Thursday (1/25) at Broken Bow. Broken Bow will also host the 3rd place and championship games on Saturday (1/27). Consolation games will be played on Friday (1/26).
Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will be providing radio and video streaming coverage of the tournament beginning with the opening rounds on Monday and Tuesday.
