The 2024 Nebraska girls basketball showcase takes place today at Kearney High School. Eight games will be played today showcasing some of the top girls basketball teams and players across the state. Game one features SEM vs Elmwood Murdock. Both teams were Class D1 state tournament qualifiers last year. SEM is in Class D1 again this season while Elmwood Murdock has moved up to Class C2. Each team is off to a strong start this season. SEM is undefeated at 11-0. The Lady Mustangs are playing their third game is as many days following wins over Hi Line on Thursday and Axtell on Friday. Elmwood Murdock enters at 9-1 with their only setback being a 2 point loss to Falls City Sacred Heart. Today’s game is scheduled to tip off at 8:50 this morning and will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.
This afternoon, Broken Bow will face Class B Seward as part of the showcase. Broken Bow enters at 10-1. After suffering their only loss of the season to Minden back on December 9th, the Lady Indians have won seven in a row including a win over C1 top ten Adams Central. Today’s Broken Bow / Seward matchup is scheduled for a 1:50 tip off and will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.

1:50 – Broken Bow vs Seward
3:30 – Omaha Marian vs York
5:10 – Pender vs Yutan
6:50 – Sidney vs Lincoln Christian
8:30 – Kearney High vs Beatrice
The Broken Bow boys basketball team will also be in action today at Kearney High. Broken Bow will face Southern Valley in a regular season matchup. The varsity game will follow two quarters of JV action which is scheduled to start at 3:30. The varsity game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.
