Anselmo-Merna will host Arcadia/Loup City for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader tonight in Merna. The Anselmo-Merna girls team is off to a 2-0 start with wins over Paxton and Sandhills Valley in the opening week of the season. Arcadia/Loup City is looking for their first win of the young season after falling to Pleasanton and Broken Bow in the opening week of the season. The boys game features a pair of 1-1 teams. Anselmo-Merna won their season opener over Paxton but fell by 3 to Sandhills/Valley the next night. Arcadia/Loup City dropped their season opener to Broken Bow but came back to defeat Pleasanton the next day. Tonight’s games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. A live video stream of the games, accompanied by the radio call, will be available through sandhillsexpress.com on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and You Tube channel. The girls game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. with the boys game to follow.
